Shattuck-St. Mary's School

The SSM Sports Complex has two sheets of ice. The original or "John R. Sumner" rink features a rounded wooden rafter ceiling and was built in the sixties. The "J.P. Parise" rink features seating for 800 and a scoreboard hung over center ice. In addition to the rinks, the Sports Center includes a dome with a full sized soccer field, ropes curse, track, tennis, and two outdoor soccer/lacrosse fields.


Driving Directions

From the North (Minneapolis-St. Paul):

Take I-35 south to Faribault, approximately 45 minutes. Use the second Faribault exit (Exit 56), which is also Highway 60. Take Highway 60 East. Continue on Highway 60 through the city of Faribault, across the viaduct and over the river. Turn left on Shumway Avenue. Go beyond the Main Upper School entrance about three blocks and the main arena entrance will be on your left.

From the South (Des Moines):

Take I-35 north to Faribault, approximately three hours. Use the second Faribault exit (Exit 56), which is also Highway 60. Take Highway 60 East. Continue on Highway 60 through the city of Faribault, across the viaduct and over the river. Turn left on Shumway Avenue. Go beyond the Main Upper School entrance about three blocks and the main arena entrance will be on your left.
